CASK MARQUE
"The Cask Marque scheme is operated by an independent body called Cask Marque Trust which is a limited company, limited by guarantee, and a non profit making organisation. The company is run by a management committee elected by its members. The members who pay a subscription include representatives from brewers, retailers, trade bodies and consumer groups".

THE SOCIETY OF INDEPENDENT BREWERS

Renamed in 1995, SIBA is now one of the most authoritative and respected bodies in the brewing industry."

HILDEN BREWERY.
The longest running cask ale brewery in the province, going since 1981. Situated on the outskirts of Lisburn, County Antrim, in a beautiful Georgian house set in its own grounds. They have their own tap room and restaurant at the brewery and run visits to the brewery and museum. They run an annual beer festival at the brewery.

WHITEWATER BREWERY
Started up around 1995 on the family farm in Kilkeel, County Down, they supply the majority of cask beers in the province. Very little (at present) on the UK distribution market. They supply guest ales to outlets and run beer festivals at their own bar, The White Horse, Saintfield, County Down. Tours of the brewery are available but MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE.

ARDS BREWING COMPANY
A new brewery in the province and producing at least three ales.

INNISHMACSAINT BREWERY
A small craft brewer, Gordon Fallis is not long in businees but has a couple of ales on the market. Little is known at present.

CLANCONNELL BREWING COMPANY
A small craft brewer in Waringstown, not long started but Mark Pearson has already got his products on many shelves.

STRANGFORD LOUGH BREWING COMPANY
A small craft brewer beside the waters of the Lough. SBLC launched their two Viking beers, Barelegs Brew and Legbiter at the Killyleagh Viking Boat Festival. Plus the range of St. Patricks beersThese beers can often be found in many places.
